Analysis: This is stunning news as Watson was emerging as a fantasy star. This will certainly lead to a downgrade for everyone on the Texans' offense. Tom Savage figures to take over under center.
|Oct. 29, 2017 4:23 PM PT5:23 PM MT6:23 PM CT7:23 PM ET23:23 GMT7:23 4:23 PM MST6:23 PM EST5:23 PM CT3:23 UAE (+1)19:23 ETNaN: - Deshaun Watson was 19 of 30 for a season-best 402 yards and threw four touchdown passes Sunday in the Houston Texans' 41-38 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. On Sunday, Watson became the first player in the Super Bowl era with 400 yards passing, four TD passes and 50 yards rushing in a game.

Analysis: If you haven't already committed to Watson as your starting quarterback, this game further shows you should. With 15 touchdowns, Watson has the most by a rookie through six games since the merger. He is the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to throw three-plus touchdowns in three consecutive games. He's had at least 225 yards through the air in four straight, and he's topped 200 yards rushing for the season.

|Oct. 1, 2017 12:56 PM PT1:56 PM MT2:56 PM CT3:56 PM ET19:56 GMT3:56 12:56 PM MST2:56 PM EST2:56 PM CT23:56 UAE15:56 ETNaN: - Deshaun Watson was 25 of 34 for 283 yards and threw four touchdown passes Sunday in the Houston Texans' 57-14 win over the Tennessee Titans. Analysis: Watson, the 12th pick in this year's draft, became the first rookie to throw four touchdowns and run for another one since Fran Tarkenton in 1961 and tied an NFL record for most TDs by a rookie quarterback. Watson was in complete control and played with confidence after throwing for three TDs and three interceptions in his first three games.
|Sep. 24, 2017 2:10 PM PT3:10 PM MT4:10 PM CT5:10 PM ET21:10 GMT5:10 2:10 PM MST4:10 PM EST4:10 PM CT1:10 UAE (+1)17:10 ETNaN: - Deshaun Watson was 22 of 33 for 301 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Houston Texans' 36-33 loss to the New England Patriots. |Sep. 14, 2017 8:22 PM PT9:22 PM MT10:22 PM CT11:22 PM ET3:22 GMT11:22 8:22 PM MST10:22 PM EST10:22 PM CT7:22 UAE (+1)23:22 ETNaN: - Deshaun Watson was 15 of 24 for 125 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Thursday in the Houston Texans' 13-9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Analysis: Watson showed up in a black tuxedo for his first NFL start - it was his 22nd birthday. He avoided the rush and ran 49 yards for a 10-3 lead late in the first half, dashing past befuddled defenders. He'll have value if he continues to put up these rushing numbers.
|Sep. 12, 2017 3:03 PM PT4:03 PM MT5:03 PM CT6:03 PM ET22:03 GMT6:03 3:03 PM MST5:03 PM EST5:03 PM CT2:03 UAE (+1)18:03 ETNaN: - Watson will reportedly start Thursday night's game against the Bengals.
Analysis: Watson practiced in full Tuesday despite an ankle injury, so it appears the rookie will make his first start in just the Texans' second game after Tom Savage was benched in Week 1. With a poor offensive line, though, Watson is a dangerous fantasy option at this point.
|Sep. 10, 2017 3:53 PM PT4:53 PM MT5:53 PM CT6:53 PM ET22:53 GMT6:53 3:53 PM MST5:53 PM EST5:53 PM CT2:53 UAE (+1)18:53 ETNaN: - Watson became the ninth quarterback to play for the Texans in the past five seasons when he replaced Tom Savage to start the second half Sunday against Jacksonville.

|Aug. 27, 2017 9:55 AM PT10:55 AM MT11:55 AM CT12:55 PM ET16:55 GMT0:55 9:55 AM MST11:55 AM EST11:55 AM CT20:55 UAE12:55 ETNaN: - Texans starting quarterback Tom Savage struggled to move Houston's offense on Saturday night. His popular backup, Watson, didn't do much to distinguish himself, either.
Analysis: Savage was 10 of 16 for 79 yards for Houston (1-2). Watson was 11 of 21 for 116 yards and also scrambled twice for 10 yards. Watson's potential to extend plays showed when he stepped up to avoid Swann's blitz, then delivered an accurate, off-balance, 22-yard pass to RaShaun Allen as he was being hit by lineman Tony McDaniel.
|Aug. 11, 2017 9:39 AM PT10:39 AM MT11:39 AM CT12:39 PM ET16:39 GMT0:39 9:39 AM MST11:39 AM EST11:39 AM CT20:39 UAE12:39 ETNaN: - Watson was impressive in his debut. Analysis: In relief of starting quarterback Tom Savage, Watson completed 15 of 25 passes for 179 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions for an 81.9 passer rating. Keep an eye on this situation.
|May 12, 2017 10:06 AM PT11:06 AM MT12:06 PM CT1:06 PM ET17:06 GMT1:06 10:06 AM MST12:06 PM EST12:06 PM CT21:06 UAE13:06 ETNaN: - The Texans signed Watson to a four-year contract worth $13.8 million, and the first-round pick will be available for Friday's start of rookie minicamp.
Analysis: The Texans traded the No. 25 pick in 2017 and next year's first-round selection to the Cleveland Browns to move up to the No. 12 spot to draft Watson out of Clemson. Watson likely will be groomed behind current starter Tom Savage this season. Savage and Watson will compete during organized team activities and training camp. Texans coach Bill O'Brien said recently he feels "comfortable" with Savage starting in 2017.
