Salazar is 3-5 with a 5.50 ERA in 10 starts. He has struck out 73 in 52 1/3 innings but has allowed 55 hits and 28 walks.
Analysis: Manager Terry Francona says Salazar will be available as a reliever beginning Wednesday. Francona hopes being in the bullpen will help Salazar work on his daily throwing routine and regain his confidence.
|May 27 5:06 PM PT6:06 PM MT7:06 PM CT8:06 PM ET20:06 ET0:06 GMT8:06 5:06 PM MST7:06 PM EST7:36 PM VEN4:06 UAE (+1)7:06 PM CT-Danny Salazar fell to 3-5, allowing four runs - three earned - on six hits and five walks in 5.1 innings, as the Cleveland Indians lost to the Kansas City Royals 5-2 on Saturday. Salazar struck out four, ending the game with a 5.50 ERA and 1.59 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Salazar may have sealed his fate with this latest shaky outing, as speculation exists that he'll be moved to the bullpen with Corey Kluber slated to come off the DL and start Thursday against Oakland. With a lousy 7.71 ERA over his last four starts and repeated control issues, it may be the right move to make.
|May 21 4:16 PM PT5:16 PM MT6:16 PM CT7:16 PM ET19:16 ET23:16 GMT7:16 4:16 PM MST6:16 PM EST6:46 PM VEN3:16 UAE (+1)6:16 PM CT-Danny Salazar improved to 3-4, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks in 5.2 innings, as the Cleveland Indians defeated the Houston Astros 8-6 on Sunday. Salazar struck out seven, ending the game with a 5.55 ERA and 1.53 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Though he allowed a pair of homers and again had some control issues, Salazar was able to halt a three-start winless streak with his longest outing since he threw 6 1/3 innings to beat Seattle on April 29. He'll likely continue to be a risk/reward fantasy option due to his high strikeout rates and overall inconsistency.

Salazar struck out nine, ending the game with a 5.66 ERA and 1.57 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Salazar gave up a career-high four homers in his second straight shaky outing. He couldn't hold two early leads and allowed five runs in 2 2/3 innings in Toronto last Wednesday.
|May 10 8:26 PM PT9:26 PM MT10:26 PM CT11:26 PM ET23:26 ET3:26 GMT11:26 8:26 PM MST10:26 PM EST10:56 PM VEN7:26 UAE (+1)10:26 PM CT-Danny Salazar allowed five runs on five hits and two walks in 2.2 innings as the Cleveland Indians lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 8-7 on Wednesday. Salazar struck out four, ending the game with a 5.20 ERA and 1.57 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Salazar now has an outstanding 53 strikeouts in 36 1/3 innings. Unfortunately for his owners, he's walking his share of batters as well and is averaging just over five innings per start. The talented right-hander has fared better at home thus far, and he does get the Rays at Progressive Field next time out on Tuesday.

Analysis: Salazar gave up a double and two homers in the first inning but didn't allow a hit after that. He had surrendered only one home run through his first four starts. The walks continue to be a problem, having issued 14, but he's made up for it with 42 strikeouts in 29 innings.
